What Was She Thinking!
For stars, lot’s of time, effort, and most of all MONEY, goes into choosing just the right outfit for each red carpet appearance. There are people who’s entire job is to make sure a star shines bright and looks their best each and every time the paparazzi are sure to be on hand. So why is it that so many times, things go so terribly wrong?!? Style is not something everyone has, and as we’ll show you here, sometimes you can’t even buy it! In the past few weeks, a few well known stars have made the supreme effort to be ‘different’ on the red carpet, and succeeded in the most disastrous ways! Some people don’t know what decade they’re in, while others can’t seem to judge their own age properly, and others manage to still look pretty good in a dress NO ONE else could ever look good in! Well, at least in our humble opinion! These ladies may need to rethink the Christmas bonus for their stylists, based on these ‘less than ideal’ fashion choices!
We guess it might not be possible to plan for matching your background, but it sure doesn’t help this outfit! Not only that, a gorgeous girl like Aisha Tyler doesn’t need to hide her shape in a bubble tent! The combo of shiny fabric that doesn’t photograph well (and please, isn’t that why we showed up?!?), and the matte black tights that make a good pair of legs boring, just makes you wonder: WWST!
Justine Bateman is the older sister of the now more famous Jason Bateman, but she used to be a HUGE teen star in her own right! Back then, she always looked so grown up and put together – so why the trip to the playground NOW! Sure, it’s cute, and we wouldn’t question it as a cover-up at the beach or a family picnic… But on the red carpet?!? In Hollywood, no less? WWST?
In this little number, Lil’ Mamma went a little further back into her childhood, and along with the ‘onesie’ effect of her playsuit, she even sported a pacifier to round out her look! How 80’s of her! It’s a funky cut that does nothing for her shape, and the shine puts the emphasis on all the wrong areas. Baaaaad girl! WWST?
While staying a grown-up, Mariah has taken her own trip to the 80’s, but this time the 80’s in New Jersey. All that’s missing is the big hair, and she could take Melanie Griffith’s role in “Working Girl”! It was a daytime event, but one should never underestimate the power of the paparazzi to make you look ridiculous! WWST?
The usually beautiful Shar Jackson looks just about right for this crazy quilt of a dress, better left for backyard bar-b-ques and retro 70’s parties. The colors are great on her skin tone, but so busy you almost forget to look at her face! This isn’t selling clothes, people! We should notice the actress! Going this wild is almost sure to clash with your background, so take a page out of the bigger stars handbooks: sheaths of a single hue are WHAT IT IS right now! WWST?
And Posh… who actually makes this dress look good… despite itself! It’s a two-tone purple elastic bandage, and on anyone else, it would be a complete mess! This woman can pull anything off, and usually has the taste to wear only the finest! We can only hope she wore this as a favor to the designer! And what a favor it was – but really! Just imagine how silly anyone you know would look in this! It might even look good with a clown nose and make-up… are we going too far?!?
We promise to cover things you CAN wear next time! …and some more of this mess as it unfolds!

Grey Days
It seems like the color (or non-color!) grey, is becoming a hit for this fall! Grey (or as some people write it, “gray”) is a really multi-faceted color, when it comes right down to it! (Matt Damon's wife, Isabella)

Technically a mix of white and black, you’ll find that each and every grey out there has its own unique hue or shadow of another color in it. That’s the thing to watch for when matching different greys in your outfit – who knew grey could clash with grey?!? (Ginnifer Goodwin)
A lot of stars are using greys in different shades, from the lightest to darker greys, and to for a very dramatic effect.
(Joan Allen)
A lot of the greys we’re seeing are in shiny satins and in formal wear, but there are also a lot of the old standbys in warming woolens for the coming cold. (Mandy Moore)
If you can’t do without color, use grey as your background – like a canvas for painting – and insert a bright jewel tone or signal color just once, as a hat, shoe or blouse, to really highlight it! (Tina Fey)

Though the truly daring thing to do, is to see how well you can go all grey, like these stars! As most greys have a bit of color to them, it’s important to know that they won’t all go with your skin tone, so be aware of how each piece looks on YOU! (Martina McBride)
In general, grey is a very serious, elegant, and even business-like color, so don’t be surprised if people take you more seriously when dressed head-to-toe in grey! And for fun, here are some guys sporting the grey look for you too! (All pictures: PR Photos)
