Getting All Dolled Up?
That’s what’s happening at the 2008 American Toy Fair! All the newest dolls, and star dolls, and coming out! Are you interested? Lot’s of new dolls from recent and upcoming movies were being shown, some for the first time! Figures from the Harry Potter movies, a new limited edition Indian Jones figure, and dolls from the recent Golden Compass movie were being shown – and shown well!
If you’re more adventurous, there’s a new line of Bindi Irwin dolls, to get you all excited about animals, and maybe even catching your own croc or two!
In the realm of singers, Gwen Stefani came out with a bold new line of dolls with extremely large heads and featuring here Lamb fashions for the dolls to wear! At first I thought they looked a little strange, but her face is actually a very good likeness of the star, so the whole effect is pretty good!
Now, getting ‘ugly’ right has always been this girl’s specialty! The Ugly Betty doll, doesn’t go far enough in my opinion, but it’s a good start! Let’s see these fly off the shelves for Christmas, and I’ll be a happy fashionista!

The Heart Truth - Red Dress Fashion Show
As part of The Heart Truth’s mission to raise awareness about women’s heart health, Laura Bush hosted this year’s Red Dress Fashion show at New York’s Fall 2008 Fashion Week! Lots of fabulous stars came out in all shapes and sizes to walk the runway in red and give their support to this National Institute of Health program. More interesting to all the grown up women in your life as an organization, but at least we get to see our fave stars in fabulous red fashions! Check them out! Especially Broadway and film legend Chita Rivera – she’s looking good for 75! And somebody please wear Joss Stone's dress to a prom! Doesn't she look fabulous?!?
