Tips for Treating Winter Sickness

More people tend to get sick in the winter months than any other time of the year. This can be casued by being in closer contact with family members and kids at school (more people tend to stay inside when it gets colder out, making it easier to spread germs to others). In order to help you get over your cold, we have come up with a list of useful tips for you to follow.
1) Drink plenty of fluids, otherwise you risk becoming dehydrated which just makes you feel worse.
2) Get plenty of rest, its a good time to read some books or catch up on a TV show you've missed.
3) If you are feeling aches and pains, ask your parents or your doctor if you should take any over the counter medicine. If you keep getting worse, ask your parents to take you to the doctor.
4) Make sure to wash your hands often and cover your mouth if you cough or sneeze to prevent spreading germs.
5) Try to eat foods like fruits and veggies that are high in vitamins and anti-oxidants (they help flush the bad stuff out of your body).
If you follow these five tips, you should be on your way to a healthy recovery!
