What About McPhee? May 31, 2007
Did American Idol diss Katherine McPhee?!? Well, she certainly wasn’t on the final show with everyone else, now was she!?! What happened? Chris Daughtry, Kellie Pickler and Elliot Yamin were all there, and yet they didn’t even get as far as she did in the competition! Was it something she said? The people at Idol are so busy apologizing for Clive Davis’ “forgetting” to mention Kelly Clarkson’s new album during his speech on the show (She’s only the first Idol ever!!!), it may take them a while to explain their way out of this one.

It seems that having children wasn't quite on his schedule, just yet... "But in the future I'd like two children." In the meantime, he's back to being single and free!
Lindsay, Mischa, Nicole, Paris, Miss USAWe could report on the embarrassing photos of Lindsay passsed out last night in the passenger seat of her car just days after her arrest or we could tell you about how Mischa Barton was rushed off in an ambulance after passing out at a Memorial Day party or how Nicole Richie hit a car after leaving Paris Hilton's big Memorial Day/Last Party Before Going To Jail Bash but instead we would like to report on the following: How Miss USA fell on her behind (literally!) and lost the Miss Universe pageant. During the evening gown portion of the competition, that took place in Mexico City, Miss USA, Rachel Smith, took a tumble after only 8 steps out. She landed square on her backside, legs straight out in front of her and used her hands to break her fall. She ended up coming in 5th in the evening gown portion of the competition and 4th overall. Who knows, without the fall, she might have won it all. Instead the crown went to 20 year old Riyo Mori of Japan.
Justin Starts His Own Label May 29, 2007
Justin started his own record company! While staying signed to Jive records himself, he’ll be heading up a new company called Tennman Records (obviously a nod to his Tennessee roots!), and signing new talent to introduce to the world. Mr. Timberlake certainly is a busy man, what with being on tour right now, and branching out to write songs for other music stars such as Madonna and Reba McEntire, and dating Jessica Biel… Do you think he ever sleeps?!?
18 Year Old Climbs Everest
May 29, 2007 She’s the queen of the world! Samantha Larson has finished her personal goal of climbing the highest peak on each continent at the ripe old age of 18! With her recent ascent of Mount Everest the deed was done! She started by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa at the age of 12. At 13 she took on Mount Aconcagua in Argentina. 14 brought Mount Elbrus in Russia. At 15, Mount McKinley in Alaska. In 2005, her brother joined her (her father has been on every trek with her!) and they made it a family day hike to the top of Kosciuszko, the highest mountain in Australia, while her little sister skied at the resort below! Then, believe it or not, she also climbed the Vinson Massif in Antarctica! For Christmas!!! Now, she’ll finally be going off to college at Stanford, which she put off for a year to train for Everest! We’d wish her luck, but she’s a 4.43 student! She may just have it all under control!
Keira Wins Lawsuit! May 29, 2007
After winning her libel suit against Britain’s The Daily Mail over an article that implied her thinness was the cause of a young girl’s death due to anorexia, she announced that she would match the winnings, and donate the whole thing to an eating disorders charity. Plus, The Daily Mail was forced to make a statement that she was not the cause of the girls death, and that her own thinness was not the result of an eating disorder. There were thin people around before there was a Hollywood, after all!!!
Lohan Arrested
May 27, 2007 The girl who would "rather die" before going to rehab, struck a curb Saturday morning around 5:30am on Sunset Blvd and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. Lohan and 2 others were in her Mercedes convertible and officers found a "usable amount" of was appears to be cocaine at the scene. Lindsay was released from police custody becasue she was admitted to the hospital where she was treated for minor injuries. Her two passengers were not hurt. This is the 3rd accident for Lindsay in 2 years . Her case will be presented to the District Attorney's Office possibly on August 24th where she could face felony charges.
High School Musical 2 Debuts First Song May 26, 2007
Radio Disney premiered "What Time Is It," the first song from HSM2 yesterday during Radio Disney's Planet Premiere feature.
The song was highlighted throughout the day, airing once during each airshift on Radio Disney.
"What Time Is It" features Zac, Vanessa, Ashley, Lucas, Corbin and Monique.
The new song is the rousing anthem track that sets the stage for "High School Musical 2," picking up where the first movie left off: the last day of school. The song reintroduces the characters as they start their first day of summer.
A CD single of "What Time Is It" will be available in stores on July 17, followed by a full soundtrack release on August 14.
"High School Musical 2" premieres Friday, August 17 on The Disney Channel.

Spotlight On Jean-Luc Bilodeau

Who is this cutie!? He's Jean- Luc Bilodeau and he plays the loveable, mischievous and wisecracking teen “Josh Trager” on the hit show Kyle XY. The show is currently in production on its second season that will begin airing in mid June and the first season will be out on DVD in June as well.
In addition, Jean-Luc can next be seen in the Trick r Treat, which will be released in October 2007 form the writer director of Superman Returns. This will be a PG-13 horror flick just in time for Halloween!

It’s Jordin! The 17 year old from Glendale, AZ, was a shoo in to many of us, after her heartfelt rendition of “This Is My Now” on Tuesday night. We’re just glad there were so many Idols singing so well last night! That’s a live album we’d like to see! Jewel is coming out with a new country album! Country? Jewel? Seems she loves country music, and sought out John Rich of “Big and Rich” to produce. He was skeptical at first: why would an extremely successful indie singer/songwriter want to do country? So she played some country styled songs she’d been writing for him, and he was hooked. That's right, you heard it hear first! Recording artist Kristy Frank just got back from Tokyo where she celebrated her 17th birthday and recorded a new song and video for the Japanese release of her debut CD (in stores this July).
Earlier in the week she participated in the 1st Camp Ronald McDonald Fashion For Passion event with KayCee Stroh ("High School Musical 2"), Lauren Storm ("Flight 29 Down") and Kay Pannabaker ("Nancy Drew").

Jessica Simpson and John Mayer have called it quits! We always wanted to believe this could work out, but who were we kidding? When you only wear your sexiest outfits when your boyfriend is NOT THERE, there has to be something amiss! Not to mention, John showed up alone, looking very cute, (pic, left) to a recent event , the 2007 Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People Gala. Apparently, the two are still in touch, and some say the break-up may not be for good. Well, then why call it a break-up at all?!? Just to get our hopes up? Let's just hope she lasted long enough to John write a song about her!

Wow! Does this show know how to create drama, or what? Melinda Doolittle, the absolute FAVORITE to win this season of "American Idol," got VOTED OFF last night by the American public. Maybe everyone thought she was going to win so why bother voting for her right? Or maybe she was too good and people thought she didn't need America Idol to become a star on her own. Whatever the reason, it sure shocked Simon who told Melinda that she was "one heck of a singer". With Melinda's exit she leaves behind Jordin Sparks and Blake Lewis. Who will take home the America Idol crown?

Despite the petitions, the pleading and the pouting, the LA Sheriff's Dept confimred TODAY that the reluctant heiress will spend time behind bars for violating the terms of her probation. She will serve at least 23 days! The clock is ticking for Paris. Will she still be able to talk her way out of jail? Whatever her plan, she only has a few weeks left. Her jailtime begins on June 5th. She will be taken to a unit that has 12 2-person cells. So who should decorate her cell for her? Well, Martha Stewart of course!

 May 16 2007 American Idol's little sweetheart and continuing fav Carrie Underwood swept away three awards last night at the Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada! She took performer of the year, album of the year AND video of the year! She even beat out seasoned pros like Martina McBride, Kenny Chesney and George Strait. And now that she’s officially a couple with Dallas cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, what else could the girl want?!? Good work, Carrie!
Timberlake and Biel = Jesstin?May 16, 2006 It seems we may have a new celebrity couple to celebrate! How about calling them Jess-tin?!? Yep! It’s Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake! Seems he’s not only bringing sexy back, but also flying Jessica back to Britain to join him for his tour there! The two were spotted smooching during a dinner date. You can always count on the British press to have night vision (!) pix of the whole thing! Mad dogs and Englishmen!
Brit's New Do May 16, 2007 Britney's got extensions! Finally she’s free of those wigs she was using to cover up her, uh, lapse in judgment/ do-it-yourself “haircut”! Brit is looking much better now, and with all the working out at the dance studio she’s been doing, she’s looking good in every way. It won't be long before her next album is avavailable and she'll back on the charts and we will all have forgotten all about this, ahem, awkward period in Brit's life... NOT!!

WOW! First the news about Zac and Vanessa and now he releases a fab new track called "Ladies Choice", a solo song sung by Zac in the upcoming release of "Hairspray". If you haven't heard it yet, don't panic! It was only just released today on itunes. You can check out a sample of it on itunes or of course you can buy the whole darn song for 99cents. And as he says in the song, he's "selling something you won't return"!

May 11, 2007 We hope you’re all holding on to something! Well, at least sit down, because it’s official: Zac and Vanessa are a couple! Her reps say that her new video, “Say OK”, which happens to co-star Zac as well, counts as their official “coming out as a couple”! Once we’ve dried our tears, we can’t say we’re surprised…and we can’t say we mind watching them together! They do kinda make the cutest couple EVAH! Don’t they?!? A fact we can check when High School Musical 2 premiers on August 17th!
Two For Bleu!
May 10, 2007 This is Corbin Bleu’s week to celebrate his new solo album release “Another Side”, which debuted at #36. Corbin’s OTHER album, “High School Musical: The Concert” climbed to #33. In addtion, Corbin will heading out next week with his High School Musical castmates to begin their South American tour.

May 10, 2007 At the premiere of "Georgia Rule" yesterday, Extra TV caught up with Linds and asked her what she learned from doing this film "I learned to be on time", smiled Linds. And how does she deal with all the paparazzi. "I don't really. I just kind of let it happen... They're there for a reason. Any negative press is good at this point as far as they're concerned, everybody wants the drama. They're going to try to find the bad in everything but I focus on my work so hopefully that shows through." Word is she gives one heck of a performance in this film!

May 8, 2007 He’s off the market girls! In the middle of Times Square last night, Drumline hottie Nick Cannon asked his girlfriend to marry him, and she said yes! Of course! I mean, please! We bet any girls within hearing distance said yes, too! But lucky for his lady, he only heard her answer! Congratulations, guys!

Former pop princess, Britney Spears performed live late last night at the House of Blues in San Diego, taking the stage just after 10pm. Her 15 minute set was performed before a full house of screaming fans. She lip-synced her way through a five song set including "Baby One More Time," "Do Somethin'," "I'm a Slave 4 U," "Breathe on Me" and "Toxic."
At one point during the show, Britney grabbed a young male, brought him up on stage and danced around him with her blonde backup dancers. Rumor has it that the guy is none other than her new boyfriend. Guess we'll wait to see how that works out!
Drew's Singing "Cut"
Drew Barrymore’s new movie Lucky You, pairs her up with The Incredible Hulk’s Eric Bana – Lucky Her, we’d say! In the movie, Drew plays a Las Vegas singer, and did such a good job, that the director had to yell, “Cut”! Apparently, her character isn’t supposed to be the best singer out there, and she was singing too well! Don’t we all wish we had that kind of trouble! The movie opens this weekend!
